

About Carol-Ann
Carol-Ann loved her boys Jerome and Jahkai who are her life line and for whom she devoted her every being to ensuring they were well taken care of. Whether it meant working her side hustles to fulfill their needs, it was done without hesitation.
Her early childhood days was spent on Vesey Street, Devonshire where she formed strong relationships with the Stephens’ and the Davis’s families. Also known by some as Maradee and Bailey, Carol-Ann developed such strong bonds with all those she encountered and some of her long lasting friends formed the Treasured Friends Crew.
Carol-Ann leaves her legacy of unconditional love and kindness to her husband Dwayne, sons Jerome and Jahkai Bailey, father Roland Ervin O’Mara Sr., brother Roland Ervin O’Mara Jr., sisters Gladwina O’Mara and Arianna O’Mara of Jamaica; Grandmother Genesta O’Mara, special aunt Carlena and numerous other relatives, friends and godchildren.
Carol-Ann was predeceased by her mother Carolyn Bernice Burgher nee Thomas, grandmother Winifred Y. Bean, grandfather Ernest Thomas, uncles Calvin O’Mara, Kallan Thomas, and Ernest Cann, and aunt Juanita Brangman. Great grandmother Ruth O’Mara, great-uncles Clarence “Skeets” O’Mara, Dunn O’Mara, Elmore "Turp" Black and Vivian Ming.
Carol-Ann will be dearly missed but never forgotten in the hearts of those she loved.

Her Passion
Carol-Ann’s phenomenal cooking was her ministry to bless all of those around her including her beloved sons, family and friends.
Of course, during any event or special occasion, it was known who would be preparing the food and desserts, and often times the beverages. For sure, it would be Carol-Ann without a shadow of a doubt.
Carol-Ann was very meticulous with her cooking, and most importantly, the presentation had to be “spot on''.
Her Employment
Carol-Ann’s employment after returning home from school was in the office administration field having first been employed at L.P. Gutteridge and later the Bank of N.T. Butterfield.
Carol-Ann was delighted she could pursue her passion for cooking when she obtained employment at the Happy Valley Child Care Centre where she was employed for the past seventeen (17) years.
Her Education
She was educated at Elliott Primary School then went onto Prospect Secondary School for Girls where she gained long lasting friendships.
Although very charming with her bright smile, her friends knew that they shouldn’t mess with Carol-Ann, who wouldn’t hesitate to put you in your place. After matriculating from Prospect Secondary School for Girls, Carol-Ann pursued higher education at Fryeburg Academy in Maine for two years.
Her First Grand
Carol-Ann was elated when she discovered she was to have her first grandchild - a grandson, whose arrival is due in September 2021 her birthday month. With such excitement Carol-Ann had the opportunity to browse baby items for her soon to be grandson just a few weeks ago. This was a special occasion that her son Jahkai and her cherished Desire (baby’s Mom) vividly remembers and it will forever remain in their hearts.
